The Edgewood Country Club

Very upscale place where we played ceremonies with our trio. Our experience with staff has been mixed. On one occasion we got no help in directing where the ceremony is held, and yet last time a very nice gentleman took his time to walk us directly to the right part of the place. I still got the feeling of a place being  a little bit too “official” for me.

Sunset Delight

This was one of the more unusual settings for a wedding ceremony, held in one of the private rental house at Deep Creek Lake. We played right by the lake, about 30 feet away from shore. It was very pretty and romantic setting. People were very friendly, invited us in the house, sharing a drink with my husband who was there taking photos. The couple had a hard time lighting the Unity Candle because of the wind and we had to hold on to our music for the same reason, but it was a fun wedding!

Riverside Landing

The place doesn’t look attractive from the outside but is very cozy and comfortable on the inside. We got all the help we needed from the staff in setting up.  String quartet played for a wedding ceremony and then for a cocktail hour, we received a very nice thank you letter afterwards from the father of the bride.

Brady’s Run Park

Another good place for big outdoor weddings. Our string trio ( violin/viola/cello) played wedding music for the ceremony outside, then we were playing inside a large beautiful barn for a cocktail hour. People are very friendly and insisted on feeding us dinner!

Four Seasons Banquet House in Gibsonia

Our string trio played an outdoor wedding ceremony, making sure to place themselves between the trees for shade since there were no tent provided. The place was nice with a “park-like” feeling to it.

Mt. Troy Ballroom

A very small place in which we were able to fit a trio, violin, viola and cello. It was a short wedding ceremony with about twenty people total, and still it was very crowded and hard to play due to the lack of space.

Duquesne Chapel

A very beautiful chapel on the inside.  Our string trio played for several wedding ceremonies here. However, due to their restrictions, our choices of music were very limited. The bride wanted us to play one of her favorite pieces but the music director prohibited it, saying that it must be performed by their own organist. I wasn’t sure why it was set up that way, but it didn’t seem to be very accommodating towards the bride and her wishes.

Old Economy Village

Another fabulous place for a small wedding ceremony. It has a very family like feeling to it with a lot of attention to details, not to mention the history of the place itself. The people were willing to talk forever about the village and its’ history.

The Pennsylvanian

Even though I’ve been inside many times – for all the wedding ceremonies we ended up playing outside, under the stone arch, giving us a somewhat “medieval” setting. Acoustically, it is amazing! The only possible culprit is wind coming from different openings of the arch, but that’s when music clips come in handy.

Omni William Penn Hotel Grand Ballroom

We have played countless wedding ceremonies at this place, mostly with large wedding parties, which means we used a string quartet, two violins, viola and a cello.  Very exquisite and high -profile place with really good acoustics.
